iminate’s monitoring products automate security and efficient energy use for residential and commercial spaces

Melbourne, FL – May 1, 2018 – AVidea Group (AViG) announces the Detector, the Sensor, and the Relay from iminate, which are set to debut at InfoComm 2018 from June 6 – 8, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Easing smart home automation, iminate’s suite of monitoring products control energy usage and security for homes, buildings, hospitality, and medical facilities. The monitoring suite includes the Detector, the Sensor, and the Relay. Each product works independently or as part of a user’s complete smart home system, automating energy monitoring and security through the smartphone app or voice-controlled speakers such as Amazon Echo or Google Home.

The Detector facilitates efficient energy control by monitoring when someone enters or leaves a room. This information can be used to make sure lights are on only when needed. It serves double-duty as a glass break and gunfire detector. When either of these events are detected, the user is immediately alerted with the room location through the app, email or text message. This innocuous device is hardly noticeable when magnetically attached to the patent-pending bracket in a ceiling corner, and features flexible power options, including accepting 5-12 VDC or an optional battery pack.

“Safety is our top priority and through iminate’s monitoring solutions, users have the ability to enhance their safety in their home or office,” said Joseph Howell, the Chief Executive Officer of AVidea Group. “The Detector is unlike anything else on the market and it provides an unparalleled level of monitoring and safety through its glass break and gun fire detection. When an event is detected, the user is immediately alerted, including details on the exact location in instances where multiple Detectors are installed.”

The Sensor’s dead-reckoning GPS system identifies rotation and movements as small as ¼”. Attach it to any door, window, or garage door, and the position can be utilized to trigger any actions in the system. For example, a Keypad can be set to turn its backlight green when the door is closed, amber when opened just a few inches (as a pet door, for example), and red when fully open. The Sensor’s small size means it can be unobtrusively installed on any door or window. Its battery is easily accessible, lasts up to a year, and a notification appears in the app when the battery is due to be changed.

With the Relay, users can control any passive third-party contact device such as garage doors, window shades, sprinklers and others. Powered via a standard micro USB connection, the Relay is less than 2.5” in Diameter and can be easily placed near the device to be controlled.  the Relay also can read the status of passive devices through its contact closure input.
