Let me tell you about the CEDIA award I just won…

Winning a CEDIA award is a big deal! You worked hard to put everything together to deliver a winning submission on time, you paid the expensive fee, and now your hard work has paid off. What’s the next step? Letting the world know how amazing your product or service is.

Promoting your CEDIA award

Once you win your award, it’s time to let the world know! Here are a few of our recommendations on how to promote your win.

Celebrate with the team first

Everyone in your company has contributed in one way or another to this achievement. Make sure to share the news with them and thank them for their efforts. You can send a company-wide email or invite everyone to an office celebration or happy hour.

Create a press release or blog post

Unless the award is tied to a specific publication, media will typically cover awards. Make sure you make the most out of your award win by creating a press release or blog post that highlights your win. You’ll want to share it with media, customer newsletters and industry colleagues.

Add it to your website

Make sure that everyone can see your win front and center as soon as they land on your website. Most awards will have a special winner logo, make sure to feature it along with the award name above the fold on your homepage, on your slider or you can even create a popup. You can link it to your press release or blog post.

Email signature

An easy and often overlooked marketing tool is employee emails. You can add a small award banner image to your employees’ signatures to make sure everyone that they contact is aware of your win.

Go social

Share the positive news on social media! Post the award announcement, quick snaps of your team celebrating and any media coverage you receive. As a business owner, you should also share the news on your personal accounts and encourage your employees to do the same.

Send a postcard

Your clients might still believe in direct mail. Why not send them a quick note, postcard or quirky gift to tell them about the award you just received? Nowadays, you can get creative with your mail tactics.

Maximize promotional opportunities

Be on the lookout for any promotion from the entity that gives out the award and piggyback on it by sharing it on social media, emails and other channels.
