InfoComm 2016 – It’s a Dry Heat

We recently returned from InfoComm in Las Vegas – the show was on fire! Audio over IP was a hot topic with significant new products introduced by many manufacturers. And, with temperatures hovering around 112 degrees most days, it was like being in an oven.

InfoComm shattered attendance records and filled over half a million square feet in the Las Vegas Convention Center. There were 1,000 exhibitors there making it impossible to see everything in just three short days. Opening day registration lines stretched from the far corner of the North Hall to well into the Central Hall. It appears the recession is over in the commercial AV world!

Our friends at rAVe Publications did a stellar job covering the show and featuring many of our clients in attendance. And, they had stroopwafels in their lobby booth bringing back happy memories of the annual February ISE show in Amsterdam. You can check out rAVe’s show coverage at www.ravepubs.com.

This was the first InfoComm for our PR manager, Morgan Roush. We enjoyed spending time with our clients there – Future Ready Solutions, KanexPro, Bogen Communications, AVI Systems and Point Source Audio. Connecting with our friends and colleagues is always a highlight at these shows.

With another InfoComm complete, it’s time to kick our CEDIA preparations into high gear. We have many clients attending the show with deadlines looming for awards, press coverage, advertising and booth design. We look forward to yet another show and catching up with many of our friends in Dallas!
